Rainwater Harvesting

Above & Below Ground Equipment

Relevant Products

Low cost:

Rainwater collection is an extremely green way to cut down on buying in or pumping bore-hole water, or in some cases, a more cost-effective and realistic option than recycling. Once the relevant equipment is in place, ongoing collection costs are zero.

Worthwhile collections rates:

The collection volumes are quite huge, for example, an area of 40m2 with 25mm of rainfall will produce 1m3 of water, so taking a yard/apron or roof area of say 50 x 50m, would produce 62.5m3 per 25mm of rainfall. Buffer storage can be considered to overcome seasonal rainfall fluctuations, see our GRP and plastic storage tank as well as pipework pages

Grey Water:

Although our harvesting pieces of equipment are simple filters and skimmers etc., perfectly adequate for low-level, general greywater tasks, for washing down, WC, irrigation, cooling etc. For higher-level applications, see our filtration pages.
