GRP Tanks
Above and Below Ground
Relevant Products
GRP or FRP:
Vertical and horizontal GRP also known as FRP storage tanks for above and below-ground applications, for covering most liquid products. Made from a UV stable glass reinforced plastic GRP also known as fibre reinforced plastic FRP, enabling them to be sited inside or outside. Their very smooth internal surfaces make them perfect for easy cleaning and storing liquids hygienically, even up to a maximum of 40°C.
Colour options are available on request for blending into the site surroundings, quick simple product/tank recognition and with natural colour, allows easy level indication at a glance.
Robust:
These tanks will not corrode, and due to the nature of the material and the manufacturing process, Filament Winding, produces an extremely smooth, non-porous internal surface, there are no nasty areas that could hold up the stored products, allowing to safely store liquids hygienically. The filament winding production method of winding the fibre matting around a mandrel under tension makes an extremely robust product, which enables very large one-piece tanks to be made.
Easy Site Delivery:
Due to the tank’s being relatively lightweight versus its size, some Tanks do not require a crane to off-load and site in position; general farm teleporters or forklifts can be used and in some cases the delivery vehicles Hiab. We will advise tank weights, sizes, and any pre-moulded lifting aides on the tank, enabling you to decide whether a hired crane is required.
Above Ground:
Vertical:
There are two tank base options:
- A flat base that has an outlet through the side wall, generally 300mm up from ground level. These will not fully evacuate.
- A dished base that has a built-in skirt (side wall extends to the ground), allowing it to sit directly onto a concrete slab and does not require steel support frames and has a central outlet. These will fully evacuate.
15 capacities from 5,000 – 150,000 litre
Smaller sizes have an open top option.
Horizontal:
The oval shape with a flattened base is designed to sit straight onto the floor without support cradles.
12 capacities from 6,000 – 36,000 litre
Below Ground:
Horizontal:
Cylindrically shaped with hooped strengthening ribs, these tanks are specifically designed for underground installations and go up to a huge 300,00 litre capacity.
12 capacities 5,000 – 300,000 litre
Vertical:
Cylindrically shaped with hooped strengthening ribs, these tanks are specifically designed for underground installations
3 capacities: 2,000, 4,000 & 12,000 litre
